SparkPeople is a great place to be as you progress back to health. I lost about 1.5 years due to illness. It's taken me a little over a year to get back into pretty good shape, weight is back to normal and my running is still slower, but getting back closer to my previous pace. I am 60+ yr old returning female runner after a few years off due to illness. Last race was 1/2 marathon which I finished (not last!). I've run 5Ks, 10Ks, and the Falmouth MA Road Race twice. Looking to get back to my fitness level and lose 25 lbs in 2014.
