Hi All,

I've been a runner for several years now, but have really gotten out of it after having my daughter 27 months ago. It started out that she was so fussy when I'd walk/run with her...then by the time she was better in the stroller, I was back to work full time and right in the middle of a hectic lifestyle, so I ran here and there, but nothing consistant.

Now, I'm 4 months post-partum with my 2nd child and DYING to get back to running. Unfortunately the fall time in Northern Michigan has little to offer for races. There will be a Turkey Trot in my hometown on Thanksgiving, so I'm using that as motivation to get moving again!

I'm following Hal Higdon's program and I'm on day 5. Although only 2 of the days so far actually included running, I'm really loving "being back at it." Today is supposed to be a "rest" day, but I plan to take a long walk with the kids (if my son will have it). It's amazing that just 2 days of running 1.5 miles makes that much of a difference!!

Planning on following this through then taking a couple week "break" to just keep running at a 5K distance, then jump into a 10K training program just to do it (no race available).

Once done with the 10K program, again I will take a couple week "break" probably running between 3-5 miles each day and jump into Half Marathon training. I've never done a half, so that's where the challange will come in!! Hopeing to do a half this spring '14!

So far I can't find anyone to join me on my Couch to Half program, but if anyone wants to, feel free to shoot me a message!
