Hi Susan --

You just have to climb back on that wagon and take one day at a time. Are you using the tracker to track every single bite? From most of my friends who have been successful at getting there and keeping it off, it seems that most made tracking a priority during the process and then for a very long time afterwards. I tracked (using the SP tracker) for about a year after I reached goal, and when I realized that I had memorized the number of calories in 99% of the things I eat, I slowly weaned from daily using the tracker, but even now, I keep a running tally of calories in my head, and if I'm not sure about the calories in something, I look it up.

I know it is a pain, but it helps you know that you're doing right, and when you're doing right, the pounds will come off. You may want to join a challenge, too. I'm on a maintenance team within the BLC and have enjoyed the daily accountability and regular fitness challenges. If interested in the BLC, let me know and I'll send you a link to the notification "team" so that you'll receive a spark mail when it is time to sign-up.

Good luck. emoticon

Hi, my name is Susan, I'm SORRY to say that since hitting my goal weight with SP in April of 2011, I have gained 22#'s! I'm SICK and this 'stinkin' thinking about myself is having a horrible adverse effect on my ability to even KNOW where to begin! I feel like such a failure!

Can anyone help to direct me to the 'losing weight' path?? I KNOW what to do..I just can't seem to find the MOTIVATION or desire!!!! Any tips?

My goal weight is 125--I'm up to 147 now.

Hello team, I am not yet returned nor near my 120's; however, I am aiming for there and plan on being there for awhile.

The possibilities always outnumber the problems.

Hi, I am Ann. I have lost 20+ pounds since feb. at first, my goal was 129. When I got there I wasn't happy with how I looked so I changed it to 125. I am now pretty happy with my look and definitely with my energy. I am 44 so I know I won't be able to overcome all physical issues. This morning I weighed in at 121+. I am not sure how to stop losing. I am terrified of gaining any back and so I just keep doing what I've been doing since joining sparkpeople. I figure that when my body has lost enough, that it will stop dropping weight. I think that the 120's is a good place for me...I don't want to be skinny, just fit, healthy and happy

Lauren and Trish, I've been off-line much of December and want to welcome you both to 120ville! You both have impressive stories and I can see that you have the determination to stay in 120ville! I joined SP in the spring of 2009 and lost 25 pounds. My challenge was finding an ideal maintenance routine, and that is part of the reason that I joined this team and ultimately took leadership responsibilities. Our other leader, "Walking-Annie" was very active on SP until last year and something has happened that has taken her away. I'd love one or two other leaders who can help maintain activity here. (Trish, I REALLY appreciate the way you've been visiting the site regularly since you joined.) Keeping the page active, so that members know that they can come here for support -- and FUN -- is important. One person, visiting daily or regularly, can't effectively communicate that the group is active. If either, or both, of you would like to be a group co-leader, please let me know and I'll send you an official leader invite! Again, welcome!

My name is Lauren and I joined SP in September 2011 when the scale got to 130. I am weighing in around 126 these days. I weighed 148 in 2008, lost just over 30 pounds during 2009, and have been doing my best to stay in 120-ville for the past two years. My goal in 2012 is to get to 120--and stay there.

I work four days a week at a university and am a Ph.D. student (2 to 3 classes at a time for the next 6 months, then onto the other big milestones come summer). To be honest, though, since I don't have any kids, I probably have *more* time to workout than most people. I workout an average of 5 days a week, but my real weakness is food. Looking forward to the support from this group!

Welcome! Your schedule is a tough one, but you can do it! I had a similar issue as I worked full time and was in grad school full-time when I got started in Spark, along with other responsibilities of managing a family and life in general. I had trouble in the beginning finding time for extra exercise, so I just committed to tracking every calorie that went in my mouth -- that in itself helped me resist a candy nugget or a few cookies -- it took time to track it and if I didn't eat it I didn't have to track it! I was able to lose over half of my goal just by doing that and occasionally walking around the neighborhood, etc.

When I finally plateaued, I was so motivated to keep the weight coming off, I joined a fitness class to get me more active. It was at the fitness class that I found my accountability partner. Hopefully, you'll find someone from Goldsboro, but if not, there are other ways to do it and you CAN do it!!!

I'm relatively new....i've been on spark people several months just have not been consistent. My Goal is 125. I was there 4 years ago and I'm striving to get back. I weighed myself last night and lo and behold 170 slapped me in the face. So I'm really going to need some pushing. I am a single mom, work fulltime and go to school fulltime. I don't go out due to lack of time and babysitters. I do not have a workout partner which has been my lack of committment in losing weight. No motivation at all. I've not been this heavy since prego. If anyone lives in Greensboro NC and want to meet up with me I'd be forever grateful. I want to do this, I need to do this. So here I am.

Hello all. I'm new to Spark People and new to the concept of calorie counting! I have had a very informative day! No wonder I've been gradually putting on pounds--I've been in calorie overload. I'm 35, mother of three boys (ages 13, 5 and 3). I'm 5'3" and currently weigh 142 lbs. My goal weight is 120 lbs and I want to do this by June 1st of this year! In my mind, I can't even imagine it being possible--but I know it is through educating myself on portion sizes, calorie intake and then just getting out and exercising a few times a week. This website is a fantastic resource. I'm grateful to have found it! I hope hope hope I'll be celebrating reaching my goal in a little over 4 months! emoticon

Welcome to 120-ville, Amy! Those pesty last pounds can be a real challenge. Several of our team members are regular blog posters. I suspect you'll learn some of their tips through their blogs, but you've just inspired me to put a discussion post asking how people succeeded with in losing the last few pounds.

Again,

Hi everyone, I`m Amy. I am currently around 126 (last time I weighed in) but want to make it around 120. I was heavier than this a few years ago, but managed to have that weight come off. These 6 pounds I`m trying to lose are pretty stubborn. I keep fluctuating from one weight to another. Look forward to meeting you all :)

Hi BJCRO2 and welcome to the team.

You're looking good but I know that it can be frustrating when the scales don't do what you want.

There are some good SP articles on plateau busting.

Welcome BJCRO2! I just sent a note through a spark goodie on your page about your plateau frustration. I know how frustrating it is to be so close to goal and then lose the momentum for a while.

You're definitely looking good, based on your 6/21 photo!

I have been stuck at 124 for a month now :( and I eventually want to make it to 115! I am having a hard time dealing with the stress of a no loss month, I'm used to 6+ a month at least!

Hello!

I weighed 129.2 this morning so I am now in 120-ville. I can't wait to be more in the lower half of the 120s. I'm not even 5'2" so I actually plan on leaving 120-ville in a few months. I want to get to 115. I'll have to see how my body looks then and determine if I'd still wanna lose or just maintain.

Hi everyone! I'm Tori and I'm 19 and in college, which I've learned is very difficult to try and keep weight off, but I am ready to jump start into getting healthy mode! Like Pink, the last time I remember being in the 120s was in middle school. Right now I'm at 149, and I am so determined to shed the pounds off so I can start feeling great about myself. My roommates are not motivated to lose weight like I am and at times the only person I find myself turning to talk to is my poor boyfriend, like he wants to hear about my losing weight frustrations! I look forward to being a part of this group and meeting all of you.
:) Tori

Welcome Pink!

We're so glad to have you here. You're already in the 120s and have only 5 to go until you're in maintenance. Congratulations! You should be so proud of yourself! We're here to help you through these last few pounds and also as you move into maintenance - that elusive condition of eating enough calories to not become underweight while also continuing to eat healthy and not gain. Feel free to call on me anytime.

I hope to be at 155 before may, toned up and looking hot and ready to it they city.

I've been trying to lose 20-25 for the past 3 year. It has been so hard, however ever since I've been logging on to Spark People daily I've realized that I've lost weight. Also I started writing down everything that goes into my mouth and I thats the key factor that has helped me lose around 10 pound in 1 month.

I also become somewhat of a vegetarian following the "Blood Type A Diet" and only eat raw food. This diet has given me more energy and confidence in losing the weight and has showed me how beneficial it is to eat breakfast and healthy food.
