Hey Christie!

I'm so delighted that you decided to put you on the front burner, this time. You won't regret it, at all! This is so cool and SP has so much to offer! Look at all the people that welcomed you into the fold. They're concerned about you and want you to make it to your goals. Please check with your doctor about what exercises you can do. In fact have him come to the site and let him/her look at all the exercise videos and then he/she can tell you exactly what you can and cannot do, and you will have it from the expert. Check out the menus and recipes, ,they're really great, but I've been doing my own thing for a while, and it's working for me. If there is anything I can do for you, just HOLLER and I'll do the best I can to give you a hand up!

You can do it. I started my journey January 22nd. By using the tools available on spark people, I have lost 54 pounds and am still loving my decision. Hang tough. You can do it.

Good for You! Spark People has one of the best collection of exercises I have found. Many are easy and lots of 10 min or less sets. Plus good stretches etc. Once you or therapist/dr decide what moves you need and what to avoid, I hope you find these exercise easy to use and helpful. Many other helpful things on website too -- emotional eating is one of my favorites. Good luck. Nancy

Hi all. I am Christie and I have put my well-being on the back burner for the past 28 years while raising children, a common story indeed. Well, my youngest is turning 16 and I am bound and determined to make time for my health. Blood pressure is an issue with my entire family and I have been on meds for the past two years. I would love to get some of this weight off...start with some sensible exercise and just feel well again. I have injuries (car accident) that prevent me from doing many things so any ideas for exercise are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
