Welcome and much good luck! Use the trackers and some basic ideas for meals. One type of meal is to have a protein(beef, pork, chicken or beans), a small portion of starch (potato, rice, bread or quinoa) and veggies and a basic green salad. The other type of meal is to have a nutritious soup and sandwich both types of meals are best with a small portion of yogurt and or fruit. Breakfast for us is either hot cereal or and egg with vegetables. Right now my fridge holds mostly vegetables: onions, zucchini, spinach, lettuce, cauliflower, garlic, brocolli peppers, cabbage and some fruit. There are also several containers of low cal yogurt and about 20 one portion containers of yogurt too. This site has many recipes just look under the tab of articles and videos and type in the type of recipe you want. Try to make big batches of things on days off so that work days are easy where food and meals are concerned.

Hey everyone...I've been a member for quite a while, but haven't done what I was supposed to. I have lost about 40 pounds in the last 5 months by going back to work and working a lot! I went to the doctor last week and was put on medicine for diabetes, which I am very unhappy about. My oldest son is about 75lbs overweight and the doctor is concerned about him. WE NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT AND BECOME MUCH MORE HEALTHY!! I really need help figuring out menus and such to help us succeed. Thanks to all in advance!!
