Yvonne, Now you have had a look around the site it is time to make eating the right food and getting some regular exercise. I love to just sit for a while doing deep breathing. Yoga and relaxation help too. We are here for you. I am much older than you and I had cataract surgery. I was advised to take it easier and I did. One of my eyes developed Iritis so I had to slow down. I was on steroid eye drops and still not really getting in much good exercise. I have not lost or gained but the one thing I noticed is I do feel weary and I noticed m y Blood pressure went up. Now on my anniversary of m y first Spark challenge I am doing the 28 days once again. Just to get back in to it. It is something you must do to stay healthy. Pat in Maine.

to SP Land and one of my many homes here! You've come to the right place to get your body going in the direction of a healthier lifestyle. Right off of jump street, I'll tell you my blood pressure was extremely high, of course weighing in at 388 lbs. has a tendency to make it sky rocket. Now that I've lost more than 200 lbs. the doctor is FINALLY cutting back my BP medication. I'll be one happy camper when I can get rid of the medication for good. If you really work hard, exercise, follow your new way of eating very closely, you can get off the BP medication. Stand up and be counted, young lady, to the greatness that God has in store for you!!!

I have been using Sparkpeople for a week now, and must admit it has been interesting! So many resources! My blood pressure is not extremely high (140/80), but my doctor wanted to put me on BP medication. Told her to give me a chance to lose some weight and exercise to see if it gets better. Thoughts; advise? Thank you and have a great weekend!
