Echoing Dawn, it is how you choose to react that will make a difference.
It is human nature to make mistakes. We should strive to learn from them, dust ourselves off, then reapply ourselves to achieving the long-term goal. Keep focused on the destination; you will get there, one step at a time.

Perfectly following any diet, exercise program or other life change is not only daunting, it's likely impossible if you're planning to do it for any length of time but that shouldn't be daunting and depressing. The fact is, that like most things in lie, getting healthy doesn't require perfection, just consistent, concerted effort. Whether your blood pressure problems have to do with stress, lack of exercise, overweight, all of the above or something completely different, getting healthier means making lifestyle changes, not just for today, but for the rest of your life. Don't forget, however, that this is about your life. Many of the best things in life happen when you're not being "perfect". Veering off the straight and narrow on occasion is not only inevitable, it's what makes life worth living, and in my mind, knowing that there will be those times when you won't be 100% on track will allow you to forgive yourself without adding guilt and the stress it brings with it. Besides, sometimes those detours from the "perfect" are what makes life worth living. The trick is keep those little detours under control and never to allow them to completely derail your "get healthy" journey. One chocolate, one indulgent meal, even a totally decadent vacation with buffet tables loaded with creamy sauces, deep fried delicacies and sugary deserts can't do irrecoverable harm unless you choose to let it. Just give it your best shot and remember, in the immortal words of Scarlett O'Hara, "Tomorrow is another day."
You have to want it to do it.

Please, get the Word and get a word, to stand on! Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength!" Just say it over and over, and then you'll believe it and keep on your task, of getting a healthy body! HOLLER if you need me, as I'm here always!!!

Philippians 4:13 1 Corinthians 10:31 Our job is just to show up and do our best, leaving the outcome to GOD!!!
Quick, go and kiss someone, run to the corner and back, read some motivational stuff and say a prayer. Anything to break the spell. You are being stalked by a bad fairy and need to break their power over you. There I have said the prayer for you! You're good now!!!!
