Yes, you are right. I'm going to call him back and press on about it. Thanks for the reminder and encouragement.

The doctor do seem sometimes to look over what you are saying but I will repeat it until he answer my question. I like to know. But good luck.

I have melatonin on my grocery list. I will ask at the pharmacy. What would be a good starting dose for a 4'11" 145lb. woman? It is so great when someone else asks a question and I benefit from the answer. Thanks in advance.

Great helpful and supportive reply to my introduction. I'll try to maintain better eating habits so my blood sugar levels are more even. The melatonin sounds promising. I used it a few years ago and it helped.

Thanks for your helpful reply. I'm going to try a two weeks on melatonin to see if it helps. I know we loose melatonin as we age but I think other things interfere. Just had my annual physical, mentioned sleeping problems to my Doc, he pretty much ignored me about the problem.

DEBORAH, I have been a poor sleeper foe a very long time. I can say that since I am 70 years young. MY DH stops breathing in the night so I became a VERY light sleeper. After he was diagnose with Central Sleep Apnea it is much easier to sleep. Alas old habits are hard to break. I asked around at Des and read articles I am chemical sensitive so I do badly with
Medications and supplements till I found Melatonin. It relaxes me I sleep well and I awake refreshed. Dr suggested Benadryl but that left me in sluggish mode every morning.

Eating properly to maintain you blood sugar is something I always do, I was diagnosed type 2 diabetic but I got of medication as fast as I could and I maintain control with my tracker. The eye issue for me were from computer and DRY eyes, Now I use artificial tears and I have the little bottles everywhere. They work well for me. Hope it helps you too. Pat in Maine USA

Hi: I''m Deborah, age 64. Life-long avid exerciser, reader, writer/researcher. I work hard but I also pamper myself. Sleeping well has become a problem. Can't get to bed, can't fall asleep, can't get enough. Right now my eyes are burning with fatigue but I've got to make it through a long day of meetings and work on my computer. Poor eating schedule may be a part of it also. I need to seriously re-evaluate my sleeping arrangements and routine.
