Since you've been here before, you know the basics, and I'm sure you can settle in quite well. We're all here to be your personal cheerleaders! We'll walk shoulder to shoulder, hand in hand to get you to your goal and beyond, just as we're doing for all the rest of the family. It sure does help, knowing that so many ladies and gentlemen are ready and willing to help, no matter what time of the day or night.

MAGGIE, DASH pretty much is the same as the Spark approach. We like to call it a healthy lifestyle it changes our eating habits for the better.
However we like to incorporate plenty of exercise, and support here. Using the trackers has helped me so much and I do read many Spark articles. They are short and to the point much better than reading 100 page books. Check on Spark search. ~~~~DASH Diet ~~~~~Food to avoid with hypertension. . Breathing exercises that help hypertension.~~~~ Yoga that helps hypertension.

I needed to drop Spark People for a short time while I packed up my belongings and put my house on the market. Now, house is sold and I'm moving back into a house where I've been before, as soon as the renters move out. So....I'm ready to start Spark tracking again. I'm sneaking up on the New Year by beginning my tracking and point gathering and exercising a little bit at a time, and by New Year's Day I should have some of it in control, sort of.
Progress, not perfection is one of my favorite expressions. It helps me deal with the days when not everything goes as I wish it would.
My doctor told me I need to deal with high blood pressure and I asked her to give me 3 months to bring it down with exercise and diet. She recommended the DASH diet which has a focus on lowering hypertension. So, I have a couple of books with recipes, and menus and I'm off to a start. Wish me luck.
