my name is Brenda. I just found this team tonight after I saw how much sodium I had eaten today while tracking my food for the day and decided I needed to join so I could get my BP under control with help from others that have the same problem. I also joined 3 of the team challanges tonight. I feel, at least I'm trying to do what's right to get back on track and eventually get off my BP medication.
Andrea. You and my pastor's wife have the same name.She's a sweetheart and I'm sure you are too. This is a great team for support and encouragement. I'm glad that you have decided to try a new lifestyle..a healthy one so you won't have any more strokes. Why? Because you are worth it. You are very special. Hope to get to know you more as you post.

Hello my name is Andrea and I joined the high blood pressure team for an interchange of encouragement. I had a stroke two years ago, but it was cholesterol that blocked the blood flow to the brain not high bp.
I am doing very well for a stoke victim. Most of the damage is in my head where no one can see, but I know it's there. My thinking is much slower and does not compute the way it used to. All in all I am making it. I still have my job that I've been doing for the past 12 years. I will continue to work as long as I am able. Still have 10 more years till retirement age.
Sparks works, losing weight and eating right. I am now called non diabetic. I have also reduce my BP pills to half. Some things can not be reversed, but they can be kept in check and will not get worse.

I am new here I am diabetic and have heart problems and nuarapathy fibromyalgia, asthma,my legs and back are bad, I am trying to lose weight and learn more about carb and calorie c OK counting, and I am just learning about the tools used here,I am allowed 195 carbs daily'45 for each meal,15 for each smack,I takes 18 units humalog with meals and 56 unit lantus at bedtime. My blood sugar goes low and high,I don't eat right I usually only eat ¹ or 2 times daily and usually do not snack,so I need to change eating habit,lose weight,and count carbs better
