Hi. I am really bad at doing stuff like this: posting, tracking, reading, etc. and points, rewards and so on don't motivate me. But I too am sick of being overweight and all the health problems that keep coming up. I started out really slow, with the food tracker as I needed to track my calorie, fat and sodium intake for a year for high blood pressure and just to assess my intakes. Now I am adding fitness tracker and trying to do one of the exercise videos a day. Got a fitbit a month ago and that has been really helpful in reminding me and motivating me to do more physical exercise. Anyways it might help just to pick one thing to focus on until it becomes a habit and then add to it.
to one of my many homes, here in Sparkpeople Land!!! I suggest the first place you start, is your tracking. Track all your exercises, your beverages, and your food, even the little taste tests and going into the fridge of one last pinch of something, before you go to bed. This will give you a true and accurate picture of what you're eating. Get into a tutorial from the start page, on how the new page works, and what you can do. You can type in the search block, at the top of the page, what you're looking for, and it will bring up any information that you would need, to get your task done. Don't forget the exercise videos! Most of the videos are between 6 and 12 minutes, as Sparkpeople says, "Who doesn't have 10 minutes to exercise, each day!" If you should have any problem and need help, just get on one of the message boards, and ask for help, as EVERYBODY is ready and willing to help each person meet their goal!
