Just about all of us have tried every diet and taken every pill made by man. We have to get real and say, what I eat is what I am. There is no magic bullet. Record every thing that you eat and share your successes as well as your failures. We all do, life happens, but we pick ourselves up and go forward. The old I do well during the week, but the weekends are a loser, no longer hold a grip on us this is a 24/7 journey to a healthy lifestyle, glad you ar with us.

Don't forget that the most important part of a support group is to support others. They in turn support you. Being isolated is one of the reasons for our misery and we turn to food for comfort. Writing down what we eat and how much is rock solid bottom and needs to be done to face our demons and defeat them. I don't like it either but must do it I know to finally once and for all get back to the weight I need to be to be healthy.

I am a 55-year old single Mom who wants to finally be healthy and find her true self. I have been on many many diets throughout the years, and I was always fearful of groups and fearful of sharing. As with all of us, there are many chapters to our lives; and those chapter hold our innermost secrets, challenges, loves, and fears. I know I want to find my true self and be healthy; I have tried so many approaches, but I know I have never tried a support group and I have never written down what I eat; two of the the most important parts of reaching my goal. I know this will be very hard for me, but I know I have to take that first step at doing the right things to find my true self. The fact I can be anonymous in many ways but still participate is helping me take this plunge. I look forward to getting involved and succeeding.
