I'm delighted to see you posted here, too!!! We all need to encourage each other, but when you have multiple things going on that someone else does too, it makes it easier to communicate and encourage each other.

Welcome. If you have a four wheel walker that you can sit on it might help you walk farther because you'll be able to rest every little bit. There are exercise videos on this site and also on YouTube designed for people who have trouble with standing exercise. Check out Videos on the Articles & Videos tab above, or search "chair exercises" on YouTube. They get the job done and are fun at the same time. Be careful you don't overwhelm yourself. Start slowly and build up. Glad you've decided to join us.

glad you are joining us on this journey to a healthy lifestyle. It has taken me over a year to lose almost 50 lbs. I can't exercise like I would like, but I am on a journey not in a race, I want the change in my lifestyle, so I don't have to keep losing the same pound over and over again. I had to think 5 lbs at a time, not look a the big picture. good luck of reaching your goal.

Hi, I look at all the places my message could be posted, and it looks like almost all apply to me. I want to lose weight, and my first goal is February 14, 70 lbs. Seems like a lot to lose, but I will work at it. I live a pretty sedentary life, due to osteoarthritis, lumbar and spinal stenosis, and alot more problems. But the doctors encourage me to lose weight and to walk, even if I have to use my walker.
