I do not have diabetes, but my 82 year old husband has diabetes 2 and has no idea how to eat correctly. I am the one who tries to prepare the right foods and keep the carb heavy foods out of the kitchen as much as I can. Since I am not a dietician, we have been to one and that helped to get us started. This is why I have not taken any challenges or kept fitness minutes. I am looking for guidance in the foods to eat and need to know how to see that he is happy to eat healthy. He does eat more fruit, salads and vegetables now. But has trouble with choices at Coffee hours at church, for example. I hate to keep saying "not that". Any suggestions will be appreciated.
