Loss of a loved one, human or animal often side tracks us. Finding a new love has side tracked me and I gained back the weight I lost. We can get it off and get in better shape together. WE Can Do this!!!!
We are all struggling honey, life has so many changes in store for all of us. I am 66 this yr. and sometimes I hang by a thread but that thread has SPARK written all over it. Think of death as just birth into another more magnificent world and it blunts the pain.

In GOD We Trust Choose To Lose "If you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired." -General George S Patton, U.S.Army, 1912 Olympian

This is my second attempt to get in better shape and better health. Two years ago I was doing well. I had lost 14 lbs and was exercising 4-5 times a week. Last year we had multiple losses in our family. Within 1 year I lost my sister, my mother and a beloved great-nephew. Last week my 17 yr old cat had a stroke and passed away. And so I stopped focusing on my health. I've gained back all the weight plus added an additional 5 lbs. I was always tall and thin and never had trouble with my weight. Then my age (65) caught up with me and the things I eat and the exercise I get no longer "fit" me. I need a new direction. So, I'm back with SparkPeople and with the determination to get healthy. Today I started watching what I eat, and tonight I will begin my exercise routine. I would appreciate your encouragement and your advice! Thanks for reading about me.
