glad you are joining us on this journey to a healthy lifestyle. When did you have your last physical? Maybe they can give you meds to help you with the fear and anxiety, Take those baby steps, and don't try to do everything at one time. Set small goals and relax. We are on a journey not in a race.

I am a soon-to-be 47 year old mom of 4 children. I am an unemployed teacher (for a year now), and my lack of employment has contributed to a myriad of problems, such as depression, anxiety and of course, my weight. I have struggled since high school with weight gain, but it became a serious concern in my adult years. I have struggled with anxiety/panic attacks since my early 20's....my fears make it difficult to exercise, which adds to my problems. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure a couple of years ago, and I take medication.....I monitor my blood pressure at home, but am currently trying to overcome an obsession I have developed with this monitoring. Would love to meet folks who struggle with similar issues.
