Welcome! Sounds like you have an excellent plan in place. Now the only thing left to do is knuckle down and carry it through. It's really not that hard if you do it one step at a time.

glad you are joining us on this journey to a healthy lifestyle. Remember this is a journey not a race. I also have diabetic and other health issues, but after losing some weight, the Dr's have taken me off of any diabetic meds and only one small BP pill. Losing the weight does make a difference. I also want to lose weight, but don't want to keep losing the same pound over and over again. Thus A Lifestyle Change!
Lord, bless my diet buddies and help me met my 2016 weight goals of 50 pounds.

In GOD We Trust Choose To Lose "If you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired." -General George S Patton, U.S.Army, 1912 Olympian

I am returning after a long time away. I have added a few more medical problems since last here. I feel horrendous all the time. I am sick of the way I have been feeling and I refuse to do it any longer............ so here is my goal On May 6 2015 I will turn 65. At that time I will be financially free as I will be on old age security.(Canada) It will allow me to live a different lifestyle than I have been, a much more relaxed lifestyle. Up until then it will be very very tight financially. That being said I have also developed diabetes and I have asthma., among many other medical issues that create a lot of pain. By my 65th birthday I need to lose 100+lbs,,,yes you heard me right. As far as I am concerned turning 65 will be the start of a new dynamic life for me. For the most part I am extremely lucky in my life right now. I have a super apt. It is exactly where I want it to be. But man when I reach that goal of 65 with less weight, healthier, financially secure It WILL BE AWESOME.!!!!!! I know that my last 40years will be extra special...and yes I will live to 100. I know this as sure as I am breathing. Soooooo my game plan is called "Freedom At 65" So any support I can get will be greatly appreciated. I will need your encouragement. So I am asking all my friends (old and new) to help me out. Also anyone who has a goal to reach come join me and we can do this together. The more the merrier.
