There is really no need to cook different meals. If you are serving meals to your family it should be healthy for them as well as yourself. Make the meal. Think about it and MEASURE your portions.
Overly big portions, going back for more because you made too much are often the problem. I call them PLANNED over meals so I can get two meals at a time One for today and made over the next day. Use is as leftovers. I am 70 years young, I track my meals and I love to walk and exercise. Talk with the kids about eating healthy and staying healthy. It is as important as the other conversations you have with the kids. Go for it you can do it. Health is wealth in my humble opinion. We should treasure good health. Pat in Maine.

may GOD bless your positive efforts I am 65 and care for my 90 yr young mother . She eats like a teenager: pizza, ice cream, candy. Since Mother's Day I do not eat sugar, wheat, dairy or fast food with 1 exception I allow my taco fix at Chipotles the Organic fresh fast food once a week. Preparing your food is the only way to know what is in it and to control the flavor! You will find many quick easy fabulous meal ideas here

Hi I'm 46 years young, a mother of two young boys and a college student. 4 years ago I started college and neglected my health. I relied on fast foods for a great part of those 4 years. I gained 40 pounds in four years and now I'm having a difficult time losing the weight plus I have high blood pressure. I made it my mission to jump start my metabolism during summer vacation. I have all the exercise equipment I need at home and have the determination at this time but it's hard cooking two menus.. I was browsing online, looking for kale recipes and found an announcement for SparkPeople. I love all it has to offer, so let's see how it works out for me.
