Hi, I was truly hoping to get on track with looking after myself, but I don't think I can on this site. You see my anti virus will not let me open e-mails and also other things. The reasons are bizzarre, so I will unsubscribe and maybe try again. I was diagnosed on Monday with osteoarthritis in the right hip, and I do need to lose weight badly. !! While you are sitting down they have chair eexercise for you to do. Just go through the exercises and you will find alot of things you can do while at home with your husband. Sorry to hear about your husband. I will keep him my prayers. May God continue to give you the strength you need to take care of your husband.

If you enter all your food in the nutrition tracker and then press daily feedback your next screen will tell you more than you ever wanted to know. Also as you enter your food the total calories will be printed at the bottom of the page. You will get it eventually. There is still a lot I need to learn about this wonderful site. I just tried out the recipe brown rice and broccoli and it was a hit with my dinner party last night. It can be created with other grains as well and I will try it in the future. I am relearning sewing as I got far too busy for about 20 yrs. and now have a bit more time. My husband has a disease similar to Parkinsons and it is frustrating for him but we keep trying to keep him going.

Thank you all for your welcome, the videos for understanding how to get around the site are good, but I am slow at learning so I guess patience will what it is all about at the moment. I am not sure how to work out the calorie count, so this will be a challenge too. I am a carer for my husband, he has Parkinson's, so I am limited in going out . I love to sew and sometimes sit for long periods of time. So I would love to lose the weight as well as learn to cook healthy. Chook21
