Tracking your food intake will give you a good picture of where you need to make changes. Talking to your doctor about adding an exercise program is a good idea. Keep posting. I was in a similar position last October. I was/am seriously overweight and approaching 40. I was through with feeling fat and sad. I started by kicking my diet soda habit. I started talking vitamins- just C, D and B complex. I limited sugar and carbs and started watching portion sizes. I eventually added walking 30 minutes a day and have dropped by 40 pounds in 7 months and am down 4 sizes. The biggest change is that I am enjoying being active and have started to DREAM again. I wish you the best and want to encourage you. I had never had any success and always quit after about three months. I now have a vision of my future and am reaping the small rewards as I look forward to the bigger ones.

i believe in trying what someone else has found to work without drugs or costing lots of money.

i lost 44 pounds at age 61 vby giving up sugar and grain products.

my sister lost 105 pounds by walking 15000 steps a day at age 63.

Hello All

I'm new to spark people but not to weight issues. This has been an unsuccessful journey my entire life. I just turned 48 on Friday, married, one child. I'm starting to have too many weight related problems and I'm ready for a positive change. Hope this will be time to finally be successful.
