emoticon losing weight helps a lot with getting off or lowering the amount of meds we have to take. I am off diabetic meds and have reduced my BP meds a lot. My knees feel better and my dress size has gone from a 3X to a 1X. Glad you are joining us on the journey to a healthy lifestyle!

Lord, bless my diet buddies and help me met my 2015 weight goals of 50 pounds.

Exercise is great for lots of conditions and walking is one of the easiest.

Janette, welcome!
I am on BP meds too. Before I lost weight my BP was in the 145/85 range. I have been exercising since March and within two weeks it dropped to 135/75. I've continued to exercise and eat right and now have a consistent BP in the 110/60 range. You can do this if you want it bad enough to work for it. emoticon

Hi, I am Janette and I am new to SparkPeople and the group. I have been on and off blood pressure medicine for several years now. I just got put back on it a couple of years ago, but I am hoping with weight loss and diet change that I can get off of it again.
