Welcome!
Entering foods on the tracking system can take some time, but you don't have to enter all the nutritional info. I just enter the three I am interested in - calories, fat and fiber.
Also, if you have a smart phone and download the Spark app you can scan the barcode on an item and it will enter the info for you.
Finally, once you have something entered, save it to your favorites and you won't have to enter it every time you eat it.

Good luck, and get rid of all those trigger foods! emoticon

i lost 44 pounds at age 61 by giving up sugar and grain products.

my sister lost 105 pounds by walking 15000 steps a day at age 63.

Welcome. When you are eating in the evening try snacking on fruots and veggies. Drink plenty of water. You are exercising so that's good. Eat smaller portion. This is the right place to be.

Welcome you need to share what has work for you. Togofrom 184 to 150? is a great start. emoticon . I am 61. and i am having a hard time. I am tried of quick diets just to gain my wieght back. For me I need to educate myself on how to live a healthier life style. In the begin its smart to read sucess stories and the health secession that is on this site. I am 69 years old and counting. I have used other methods and have gone from 184.8 pounds down to 156.1 as of today. I have to get down to 140 pounds and it has been a real challenge. I have gotten as low as 145.4 pounds and now I am climbing back up and really discouraged. I walk my dog every day and do yard work and walk the treadmill for exercise. I also do some yoga. My big issue is that while I eat properly in the morning and at lunch, the afternoon has become my enemy! It's like I can't stop eating and I am not eating anything good for me. Also I am a bit overwhelmed by all of the places to go on the site. I keep track of my food on paper by using points and don't seem to be able to get things on the food section without taking a lot of time to enter all the nutritional info on it.
I am really hoping that the Spark People site will get me back on track and am excited to try it--but I am not real tech savvy. Thanks!
