New to this group. Just found out I have afib and have had type 2 diabetes for a long time. Now I am scared and need to take better care of my self. I'm 59 and not ready to go yet. Anyone out there lose a bunch of weight and get off their meds?

Hi, I'm glad you've joined the team. It's so much easier to stay focused on improving when you have others working at it with you. You'll find a lot of help here for the asking. I'd be interested to know if your weight dropped considerably when you went glutton free. I've been on a plateau for months and have been wondering is the amount of wheat I eat could be part of the problem.

i am 61 and lost 44 pounds by giving up grain and sugar products.

my sister is 63 and lost 105 pounds by walking 15000 steps a day.

we both have kept the weight off for over a year now.
