Thanks for the confidence everyone. When I start walking properly I will hit the park... In the mean time ill continue the change of life style! I'm beginning to really like it! I'ma keep all you in my prayers!

Welcome. Yes, I'm on medication for HBP, but my doctor is pleased that I am now working on losing weight and getting healthier. I am lowering my cholesterol, too. I am walking on a more regular basis, too. It will take time, but keep up the good, healthy habits.

The same to you thanks... This may sound crazy but I'm glad to meet someone going thru something simular because it make me realize I'm not the only one going thru it. But promised myself to never look back and to take the Meds everyday , gotta keep the blood pressure in check! Congrats and Thank you for giving me some positive feed back!

Welcome. I also have HBP and for years I knew it and didn't take care of it. Instead of a stroke' I developed congestive heart failure and severe aortic regurgitation which lead to heart surgery to replace my aortic valve with a mechanical one. Now I monitor my BP take my bp meds and am eating healthy and exercising and losing weight. Good to hear that things are starting to turn around for you. Wishing you the best as you recover and keeping you in my prayers.

Welcome, MDANIELS37, and thank you for sharing your story! I am very sorry to hear that you had to suffer a stroke, and also very glad that you are able to be here with us. It hits very close to home for me, because I too had very elevated BP for quite a few years before I did anything about it, and also did not have any noticeable symptoms; luckily I finally decided to get it under control before having any major problems, but your story could easily be mine as well.

Well I'm glad to say Hello... Life has been ruff on me the last few months. In fact I was given a second chance to live. In the past I'd pressure readings of 225/110 125 130 and really didn't mean anything to me. Never had chest pains, head aches or anything. I never felt sick so I didn't bother. I didn't care. HBP didn't mean much to me. It's been like that for a few years! I care now! Just two months ago I suffered a stroke. It was kinda serious! I became paralyzed on my right side. In fact I had 2 strokes! It's letting me go slowly. I'm starting to move a little bit more every day. I'm thankful! I do range of motion exercises and strength training and my diet changed a whole lot! No more processed food, fast food or fried food.i even lost a few pounds. The mostly green foods don't bad either! I take my pills everyday at the same time.. I developed a new out look one life. I'm not out the hot water but my BP is 148/88 last measurement today!... I'm so happy! So it's really nice being here!!!
