I had gall bladder surgery last April. My eating habits changed then. I don't eat a lot and get full real easy. I also eat more often but small. I have lost 15 lbs. and have been taken off my high blood pressure pills. We are just watching and see how it goes. My doctor and I are so happy.
Welcome back to Spark People, and to the HBP team! Seven pounds is a significant weight loss -- stick with it, and don't be discouraged. It would be great if we could just shed all our extra weight in a short time, but in the long run losing slowly is more likely to last. Drinking lots of water seems to make a big difference to what my weight does -- I always thought I was getting plenty of water as part of the Diet Coke I was drinking, but apparently it really isn't the same (the experts are apparently right after all, LOL). Great job with the jogging and daily tracking --

I re-joined sparkpeople in Dec 2012 with the goal of losing 50 lbs. I have been tracking my food daily and doing at least 20-30mins of jogging 4-5 times a week. So far I lost about 7lbs, its going slow and can become discouraging, but I think I will stick with it. I might have to reevaluate my goals, maybe if I have the goal of losing 1/2 lb weekly instead of 1lb weekly I will be able to see result and remain motivated. I think I need to look at this as a new way of living and not some short-term thing.
