Hi Erica -- welcome to Spark People and the HBP team! You'll find plenty of information, tools and support here to help you achieve your goals... try to take one day at a time and tell yourself that "just for today I will ______" (fill in the blank with whatever it is you need to do). This (usually) works for me... even though tomorrow I have the same conversation with myself!

My name is Erica and I'm 30 years old. I've struggled with my weight since near the end of high school. I've been off and on in the gym and it seems like I just cant maintain my motivation. I recently moved and for some reason I felt on top of the world. I had so much energy, so I decided to get a trainer and sign up with a gym. For the past month I've been completely off track. I haven't worked out, I haven't been eating right. I have no energy to do much of anything. My doctor put my on blood pressure medication 2 weeks ago. I DO NOT want to be on medication, however I cant seem to find the motivation to get back in the gym and lose weight. I really want to and I can see the skinnier me, but it seems as if I just cant get there. I'm hoping there's someone out there in the same boat that can help me.
