Welcome to the High Blood Pressure team, VTWICE -- Spark People has plenty of tools, information and community support to help you achieve your goals! If you have any questions about using the site, please don't hesitate to ask (either here on the discussion boards, or you can always send me a Spark Mail). If you haven't already done so, I'd suggest starting by writing down your goals, and then write down the plan that you are going to follow in order to achieve them. Somewhere here on SP I saw a saying, "A goal without a plan is just a wish." So make that plan, take one day at a time, and check in here often to let us know how you're doing --

my sister lost 105 pounds at age 63 walking 15000 steps a day.

i lost 44 pounds at age 61 by giving up grain and sugar products.

we have not gained a pound back in over a year. it works.

Hi. I was browsing the web and am so glad I happened to stumble on this site. I'm NY born and raised and moved to Philly around four years ago. I haven't made many local friends but would like to. I'm going on a cruise with my (skinny) childhood friends this summer and I don't want to be looking like a hot mess! I belong to the LA Fitness on Grant. I haven't been in a while because I hate to work out at a gym by myself. I would love to meet someone else who goes there to use the cardio equipment and machines. I using an elliptical at home now and I'm going to start working out with my kettle bell again. (Whew! that warm up wore really wore me out yesterday!) Other than that, I'm living life to the best of my ability and trying to be happy.
