Welcome to Spark People and the HBP team, Brad ! You'll find lots of tools, info and support here to help you achieve your goals -- if you have any questions about using the site, don't be afraid to ask, we're here for you. Take one day at a time and don't expect to be perfect at sticking to your plan, when you have a significant amount of weight to lose it has to be a long-term project and life can tend to get in the way here and there. I've been here since September and am 64, hypothyroid and with high BP, along with various arthritic aches and pains, and am slowly but surely making progress toward reaching my goal to lose about 90 pounds and become generally stronger and able to enjoy some of the things I used to do. Although I've managed to lose weight on my own in the past, it's always come back (and then some); this is the first time I've ever really felt sure that I can continue on until I reach my goal, and then continue on without reverting back to my old ways.

I hope we'll be "seeing" you on the message boards often -- best wishes to you!

Sandy

In GOD We Trust Choose To Lose
"If you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."
