Take one day at a time and don't expect to be perfect at sticking to your plan, when you have a significant amount of weight to lose it has to be a long-term project and life can tend to get in the way here and there. I've been here since September and am 64, hypothyroid and with high BP, along with various arthritic aches and pains, and am slowly but surely making progress toward reaching my goal to lose about 90 pounds and become generally stronger and able to enjoy some of the things I used to do. Although I've managed to lose weight on my own in the past, it's always come back (and then some); this is the first time I've ever really felt sure that I can continue on until I reach my goal, and then continue on without reverting back to my old ways.
