Welcome to the High Blood Pressure team, TINKYTOO -- Spark People has plenty of tools, information and community support to help you achieve your goals. If you have any questions about using the site, please don't be afraid to ask (either here on the discussion boards, or you can always send me a Spark Mail). Take one day at a time, make small changes that you can live with, and set smaller interval goals for yourself that you can achieve in a relatively short period of time; nothing is so motivating as achieving success -- and don't forget to reward yourself when you do!
Best wishes, Sandy

Don't aim at 100+ lbs That's 'like trying to climb Everest in ballet shoes. Set yourself a much smaller goal quickly attainable goals. Say 10lbs by end of February. Get that target or surpass it and you will be inspired to ditch the next block of weight.
In GOD We Trust Choose To Lose "If you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired." -General George S Patton, U.S.Army, 1912 Olympian

Just found this site and am excited to get started and yet overwhelmed looking at the 100+ pounds to go from here! Seems crazy but hey, I got here 1 pound at a time, and I can take it off 1 pound at a time as well.
