I'm a grandmother of 10! After my husband had another bronchitis attack, I made a promise to myself that I was going to get healthier. My husband and I quit smoking and now it's time to lose this weight! I have about 80 pounds to lose total. I was exercising before the holidays until ovarian cysts stopped me dead in my tracks. I'm now recovering from a full hysterectomy so whereas I can't exercise now, I can once I get the okay from the doctor. I can't wait either, I really miss my i-fit!
My downfall is that I love to eat! I also have high potassium issues that I (many years ago) was told to avoid foods high in potassium. So I started eating a lot of pasta and rice instead of the nice leafy green veggies and the delicious bananas that I still crave. I just learned that I can eat these things and be healthy too. I just have to be a little more creative but I love that SparkPeople will help me track potassium too. I can't ask for more!
Anyway, I'm excited to get started and look forward to meeting new friends!
