In GOD We Trust Choose To Lose "If you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired." -General George S Patton, U.S.Army, 1912 Olympian
I just got diagnosed in Sept. They did an aortic ultrasound, after a CT scan showed something just below my heart, the end of Sept and found a small aneurysm in the abdominal aorta. I am on 2 different meds, walk for exercise and am now a lacto/ovo vegetarian. Very light on the dairy and eggs. We are hoping on this keeping the aneurysm from growing. So far my BP is manageable, down from 195-205 systolic to 117 (lowest) to 141 (highest). I have a Life Source Digital BP Monitor and track it daily then average it each week. I'm beginning to hate it as much as I did my scales when I hit a plateau in weight loss for 4 months. LOL.
Anyway, nuff about me. Just wanted you to know that I understand where you are coming from. Have a Blessed Christmas and a safe and sane New Year!

I was just diagnosed with HBP a few months ago and am trying to eat right and lose weight to hopefully get off the meds. It runs in my family so its not a surprise but I'm only 30 so I want to get healthy now in the hopes that I will have a long time left. This looks like an active team so I look forward to meeting you guys!
