Keeping your sodium intake low is a good way to help maintain a lower blood pressure. Its hard when most processed foods are loaded with sodium. look at sodium content on labels. Drink lots of water, and look for foods that help to maintain a good bp level.
Giving God the glory each day for the all the bounty in my life
I've been a member of SP for a few years now, though I haven't been an active member lately. Recently, my visit with my doctor brought up a discussion of high blood pressure. It runs on both sides of my families, so I know that it is likely I will have to be on meds at some point, but the fact that we were talking about it...and I'm only 32 years old...really depressed me.
I'm not ready to be on meds. I really, REALLY want to find a healthy, natural way to manage my blood pressure. So...I logged into SP...for the first time in probably close to a year...to see if there was a group I could join...for help. For ideas. For support.
I'm so, so discouraged, guys.
