My older sister had gastric bypass and after 7 years she ended up putting all of the weight back on. Surgery might get you there faster, but you still need to learn how to eat well. Something she did not do.
Small changes over time has worked for me. Best wishes on your journey to a healthier you.

my sister lost 105 pounds walking 15000 steps a day at age 63.

i lost 44 pounds by giving up grain and sugar products at age 60.

i use a salad plate as a dinner plate.

i use a childs for and spoon so i eat slower. it takes your brain 20 minutes to tell your stomach your full.

Hi just getting serious about weight lose I'm 300lbs . I just gave up on pop and started drinking geen tea
want to try to lose the weight before concidering weight loss surgery. I just need more enery and motovaction
to exercise more and eat less.
