For me I find it best to prepare my own food and stay away from fast or convenience food for they are loaded with salt emoticon

I know that feeling. There are certain foods that I just like to have salt on. So I make sure I take my BP meds, exercise, drink plenty of water and try to eat a lot of fruits and veggies.

Hi, Yvonne - I am not having salty cravings, per se, but I do find many low or no salt foods terribly bland and boring. But I just think about how much better I'm feeling with my lower sodium intake.

I have a naughty little secret - promise not to tell anyone? I bought myself a salt grinder filled with PINK salt. No, not lower in sodium or anything but when I just can't take it one more bite, I get out my pink salt and give the grinder the tiniest little turn. I've had it for over a week and only used it twice, not even sure I got any salt on my food but I just felt so decadent with this luxury (cheap luxury, cost about $4 at our local Costco store).

See if you can find some lower salt varieties of the foods you are craving. I tried the no salt and that didn't satisfy my cravings, but I did find some lower salt ones that did. Best wishes on your journey to a healthier you.
