THIS WORKS. WENT ON WEEKS CRUISE DID NOT GAIN A POUND.

my sister walks 15,000 steps a day at 63 years old and has lost 105 pounds. she went from a size 24 to a size 10. all her health issues dropped off as the 105 pounds dropped off.

i gave up grain and sugary products and have lost 44 pounds at age 60. i went from a size 18 to a size 10 shorts and medium tops from a 1 or 2x.

we are both still loosing weight until we reach our goal

It sounds like you already have a plan that's working for you, and you've certainly come to the right place for support -- I've only been here a short time myself, but have found that coming here and interacting on the message boards, and even just reading other posts, has really helped me to keep my goals in the front of my mind. The nutrition and fitness trackers are also a big help for me, I plan my meals using the food tracker and juggle things around until I have the calorie count within my range and a balance of the fat/protein/carbs. It's not always perfect, but I'm getting better at it and starting to see some progress! Hope to "see" you around often --

Sandy

In GOD We Trust Choose To Lose
"If you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."

Welcome and good job. I have heard it recommended that it may be better to eat smaller meals like you are doing than to have the 3 standard meals. So if this works keep it up and may your journey to a healthy lifestyle be a good one.

I tried dieting recently in the past two years unsucessfully. I went to greater cincinati weight loss center and tried the hormone shots for weight loss and I was starving all the time and only lost 15 pounds and gained it right back. My Dr. is recommending HMR but I can't afford it. So I made up my own diet plan. I call it the 200 calorie diet. I have recipes that servings = 200 cal.each and then I eat every two hours 6 times a day. I have been doing it for the last week and it is working so far. I'm not consuming over 2000 cal. a day like usual. One week success is better than none. Turning 51 has made me realize that I want to look good again. I am going on vacation to Punta Cana with a group of friends and their spouses and I don't want to be the one that sticks out in a big weigh in the picture.
