Watch me closely, Lord. I'm hungry, and I'm weak.

emoticon Pookie! I've only been here about a week myself, but can already tell you that you've found an excellent support group here; there is a lot of info and many tools for helping achieve your goals, as well as a lot of positive energy in the teams. I have a long way to go to get where I want to be too, but with the help of SparkPeople I KNOW I can do it ! Take one day at a time and make changes gradually so you don't feel overwhelmed and give up in frustration. Ten pounds is a lot to lose in 1 week... believe me I can relate to wanting to see some quick results, but in the long run a steady smaller loss is more sustainable. I'm looking forward to "seeing" you here as we work towards our goals --

In GOD We Trust Choose To Lose
"If you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."

Hi I'm new to Spark and I'm very excited. I need to lose a whole lot of weight. I'm 43 and not getting any younger. I need to do something about this now. I plan to start the meal plan tomorrow, Friday, September 21, 2012. I already picked out a meal plan, and the three goals. I really need guidance and encouragement. And a kick in the pants. I need energy, and that's hard to have when you weigh almost 300 pounds. I want to get down to 145 pounds. But, my first goal is to lose ten pounds this week. And five pounds per week thereafter. So, by September 29, I want to be ten pounds lighter.

Just for today. Today is the first day of my life. Just do it Lydia
