My name is Deborah Walker and I just discovered this site and already I think it is great. It is easier to achieve something when there are like minded people doing the same. I need to lose 90 pounds. I was diagnosed with diabetes and high blood pressure last year. I was already suffering from anxiety and depression, and my dad died so that really threw me off. My doctor told me that losing a mere 20 lbs would help greatly towards getting off meds. I decided that 30 was the immediate goal, but 90 the ultimate. I got a fitness membership two weeks ago and have been going 5 days per week. I am starting with an hour to an hour and a half daily to be increased to two as I progress. I went to my first step class and it was hard. I only completed 35 min but I am proud of myself for doing that much. It will get better. I also use the treadmill (15 min), the stationary bike (15 min), the ab twister (15 min) and have a Zumba class on Tues and Thursday. I am serious and not procrastinating this time. I just wanted to say hello for today....check back in tomorrow when I get back in from the gym.
