I feel so much better. The reason I found this website a month ago was that I had a few really bad days where I honestly was very concerned. Today my blood pressure measured 120/81 and I have so much energy. I am amazed how quickly things have improved, and very thankful for SparkPeople.

In GOD We Trust Choose To Lose "If you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired." -General George S Patton, U.S.Army, 1912 Olympian

I don't think I've posted on this team yet, but I'm happy to report that I am seeing results. When I first joined this team on August 1, my BP was a scary 193/105 - even on medication. After a few weeks of eating right and exercising but also finding this website and feeling like I can now be successful at getting healthier, my BP today was 135/88. I still have some work to do, but I feel confident that I'll get to a healthy level. I'm thinking a lot of the progress has to do with feeling like I will become healthier (reduction of stress), but I also found that I was consuming more sodium than I should. With the nutrition tracker, I now know what I'm really doing.
