In GOD We Trust Choose To Lose
"If you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."
-General George S Patton, U.S.Army, 1912 Olympian
Boy that is a story many can recall.
For me.....I wasn't as thin as my classmates....I had wider hips,ey would NEVER be slender...
Started on my first DIET at 13....and well, have been UP and UP and down and UP all my life...at 67, still would like to lose another 20 which seems to be impossible.
HOWEVER, I have kept off 50 in the last 4 years, and I owe that to Sparkpeople. SO....GLAD you are on board....and you WILL DO IT!
MY NEW saying: (borrowed from Delila)
"If you want to do something, you'll find a way, if you don't, you'll find an excuse."
Hello to Everyone. I'm new to this, so please take that into consideration when you read this.
When I was a child, my mom worried because I was so thin. The doctor told her not to worry about it, and that when I stopped growing up, I would start growing wide. My mom didn't listen and made me take a tonic every day, anyway. So, here I am now.... 64 years old... and I've been fighting to control my weight most of my adult life.
I have great hopes for this program, and am seeing some progress already.
So... now to read more of your posts...
