I'll try to check out the guys lounge. Seems like a lot of groups, would take a lot of time.

4th week! Wow, I remember that. I am on day 127 today. The main thing is no matter what the weight does, be most concerned with what you can do, exercise, eat right, and keep an honest accounting. The weight loss will slow after a while and it can be really frustrating. The 2 pounds from 201 to 199 took me 24 days. 198 this morning.

Welcome! Glad to see someone else in my almost the same situation. Only difference is you are way ahead of me. I have been here going on my 4th week. I have lost about 9 pounds and am doing more exercise than i have in a while. It feels good. I too am taking most of the same meds that you describe and am so hoping to get off of most of them. My pressure has been pretty good of late. 124/78 last check. Those statins wreak havoc on some vital operations..lol. Great to have you here. Lots of good tips and recipes. Good luck. there is a guys lounge that took me a while to find but it's here. Hope you join us. Walt

Read Chris Downie's book over the weekend. Just joined the site this morning. I have a second doctor appointment tomorrow since starting my "get healthy' program. My blood pressure meds were cut in half a few months ago.

Over 126 days my average BP is now 119/74 I am down 31 pounds in that same time frame (since 4-10-2012). I will be down 14 pounds since my last doctor visit (we will see if he notices). Needing to go from 231 to 155 to 165, makes 31 pounds less impressive than I thought it would be. Wish I had found this site sooner.

Just started using FitBit and find that pretty helpful. http://fitbit.com

I hope to one day be off all meds, but since a slight heart attack in 2006, I may not be able too. But would like to get away from statins (i.e. Lipitor) and Vasotec for HBP. The Metoprolol may be necessary...

Any rate exercising regularly and feeling better....
