Hi Kicking....welcome aboard....Good luck with your goal...I hope to lose 40 lbs by Jan 1st. Some tell me that's a little ambitious....I at least want to put a good dent in my weight loss. I think once we get started it will become more natural....a pound or 2 a week lost is better than gained....We can do it together...lots of help and encouragement here....

Welcome to the team. You may want to reconsider your goal. Most experts recommend two pounds per week as a healthy goal. Some people say that setting smaller goals also keeps them from getting discouraged.

I'm new to sparkpeople, i have a goal to lose 129 lbs. i'm giving myself a year or less. i will be taking it hour by hour, day by day, and week by week. my 1st mini goal is to drop the first 10 lbs. i will see how it go.
