my sister walks 15,000 steps a day at 63 years old and has lost 100 pounds.
i gave up grain and sugary products and have lost 44 pounds at age 60.
we are both still loosing weight until we reach our goal
i was the type of person that had to fight to keep any wieght, until a dr. put me on lyrica for my ibs. the wieght slowly krept up on me at first it was "o yes people will stop asking me what i was sick with" i live in a small area that everyone knew everyone so they always asking my mom what was wrong with me people thougt i was dying. but now my daughter just got married and i looked at the pictures and i thought omg i was not this big when i gave birth to any of my three kids! none of my clothes fit anymore the heat really bothers me and want to keep happy with my self and keep the hubbys crank turning (not that he has said anything about it bothering him) we have been married 26 years and there has been times that his wieght has changed but then he just spends a month hunting and its gone. as i said before i have ibs severly all my life my life revolves around the bathroom. have been on every medicine the dr's can think of but about five years ago one of them put me on lyrica and the wieght gain started was on it for over three years and then saw a different dr and he was concerned about the wight gain and the blood pressure and other stuff in my blood tests that red flaged me so he took off and put back on one of the other pain meds i had been on before within 6 months i lost 25 pounds which was still very high for me but i thought it would keep coming off but i didn't. i kinds bounced between 155 to 165. so here i am taking the first step in trying to get healthy again. big problem is what i can and can not eat due to my ibs and the meds i take. i am the type of person that loves to ride motorcycles, ride ski-doos in the winter time which is getting harder because believe it or not its hard work. i like to fish summer and winter and camping. would love to get any advise and suggestion to help me and willing to share anything that has helped me
