SO TRUE, I TOO BECAME A VEGETARIAN AND IT HELP ME. IT LASTED ONE YEAR AND HALF. I AM LEARNING THAT I HAVE TO HAVE BALANCE IN MY LIFE. I AM STARTING TO EAT MORE VEG. on getting off of the blood pressure medicine. That is my goal so it is nice to hear that it can be done. I am down to 1 medicine a day and my blood pressure is in the normal to just below normal range. I track it about 3-4 times a week.

Hi. I am new to this form. I was previously on high blood pressure medicine, but I have been off for about 4 years now. I managed to get my pressure down by embracing a vegetarian diet and increasing my physical fitness.
I monitor my blood pressure on a daily basis, but I did not want to be on blood pressure medicine in my 30's. So far I have been successful at it and decided to join this board for added support.
