I joined SP back in January 2010 and until recently I have found it hard to grasp motivation but I finally grabbed it by the horns and I'm holding on!
It has been very hot and humid around here too. I have been either doing the Walk At Home or if I go out to walk I go around 8:00 in the evening after the sun is beginning to set but before it gets dark.
God is my strength!
NOTE: My weight loss ticker is done up for shorter goals and once reached will change goal weight again.
Pulling weeds is an excellent squat exercise. I remember doing about an hour of that, and not being able to lower myself to a chair the next day. So walking out to do it, and doing a few minutes is a great way to start yourself moving again. Good Girl!!

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome. I am thinking that I am in the right place for support and everything else. I did put on my walking shoes this morning and while I didn't walk far, at the far end of my walk is a large patch of weeds that needs to be gone as soon as possible. I did some pulling and cutting for about 15 to 20 minutes and then walked back. It was hot, but I felt good that some of those darn weeds are gone. It will probably take me about 2 weeks to finish that weed forest, but it will be worth it--both in exercise and completed task.
Now I need to get started logging what I eat. LOL--it all takes time, but I WILL succeed.

I joined this group in May and then got really busy and did not come back. I finally decided that I need to do something. On Monday morning I am going to walk a while. Not sure how far or how long because of the heat in our area, but figure that if I put my shoes on and get out the door, I will do something and that is better than nothing. I have about 100 lbs to lose. I have already lost about 30 lbs in the last year, so I am started, but I haven't done much in the last 6 or 8 months. We have lots of animals here on our little farm and I look forward to meeting many of you and sharing laughs, tear, successes and failures. Thanks in advance for all the help and encouragement I hear this site is known for.
