I started by buying diabetic cook books(I like the taste of home diabetic ones the best) on line on ebay and started tracking my food on the nutrition tracker.

Perhaps that will help. emoticon

Hi, I am Diane and joined because I have just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I am apprehensive and concern for what I can and can't eat at this point. I have never had concerns in what I have been able to eat. I am a southern cook and with that comes the sugar and butter. I know I need to change my eating habits but don't know where to start, except to alleviate white bread and white pasta which I have already done and have switched to whole grain breads and pasta. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks Diane
