If your knee won't let you walk yet, you might try getting some resistance bands. Use the light band and go for higher reps to make it more of an endurance "cardio" workout. I think they used to say to get your heart rate up for about 20 minutes. That will be too long for one exercise even with the lightest band but you can keep changing the exercise. Swimming might be better on the knee too.

Walking is a good excercise as it doesn't bother the knees like jogging or running. Even if it's just 10 to 15 minutes, it's good for you. Don't forget to drink your water when taking the water pill. I made that mistake and ended up with cramps.

Hi my name is Lori and I am new to this site, I just turned 44 and have HBP and having a hard time controlling it. The doctor put me on water pills but thats all. I hurt my knee so its hard to exercise but Im tryin to lose weight and eat healthy. Please any suggestions please comment
