Hi EffieAnnie--and welcome to our team :)
I've never tried machine embroidery, but the finished examples of work that I've seen are just gorgeous. I love to embroider too. I'm not expert at it, but really enjoy the way sitting and stitching away with the hoop in my hands feels. I love watching all the bright colors come together. I tend to like the old fashioned designs the best.
I used to knit a little and still love to crochet. I'm notorious for not finishing my crochet pieces though. I have bags of crocheted afghan granny squares in all colors that i've never yet sewn together.
Any plans for semi -retirement? Traveling perhaps? I know I'd love to go to Ireland and italy and am laying aside money for a possible trip next year. Something to aim for anyway :)
Habit is habit and not to be flung out of the window by any man, but coaxed downstairs a step at a time.
The difference between try and triumph is just a little umph!
I just found this team. I love all kinds of needlework crafts. I have embroidered forever, but my new passion is machine embroidery. I got an embroidery machine when I cut down from working full time to part-time, semi-retirement. I love it. I also knit and crochet and love doing counted cross stitch also. I am looking forward to joining you. Effie
