Hiya, Redo, and welcome! I know just what you mean about the major yo-yo - been there myself. But like you, THIS time I'm serious, and SP is a great resource. Plus (not to sound ageist or anything, lol) it's so nice to have a team that is aimed toward us 50-plus people.

Hello everyone! Glad to join you in this journey. My username "redo2011" is truthful, I am returning to SparkPeople after sabotaging previous success: 80 lb. weight loss maintained for three years, then 70 lb. regained over the last two years. The reasons / excuses for my lapse have faded and I will once again focus on health and use SparkPeople tools daily.
The great news is that this time 'round I KNOW weight loss and healthy habits can be achieved by using SparkPeople methods. (Previously, I feared the excess weight seemed glued on and may never fall off!) One day in the near future, we WILL have the opportunity to learn how to maintain our weight losses!
