You might want to check out a book from the library or pick up a copy from Amazon. It's really making a difference in the big picture for me!

"The Obesity Code" by Dr. Jason Fung

PS. Your goal weight is mine as well. -- I let some major stressors over the past 4 yrs significantly impact my choices and perspective. More weight than ever ended up on this body. (I'd NEVER before seen that # on the scale; not even when pregnant 3x's.) Then I ended up on a hormonal roller coaster that messed things up further.

Recovery and moving towards health is an all-body change: mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional.

One year later and I am still working on this.

I have maintained very well, but I am still stress eating junk food and I need to be stronger.

Denise, yes we started off with new challenges every week on the Small slow and steady, but must admit I haven't posted any for a while. I must look them up and post what we have so far, we just start one new one a week trying to build up new habits

Hi Nancy,
Besides being involved in the Small and Slow, you may want to sign up for a challenge as well. It helped me tremendously when I first started losing weight. It keeps me focused, reminds me of all the essentials I need to do to lose and gives you others who can relate!

Sue, do you also list challenges for the members? I haven't been as active here as I thought I would be so am not familiar with the team.

Hi. My name is Nancy and I am 56 years old. I am married and have had a bout with some heath problems lately tied to weight, hip replacements (left & right), and now a new heart issue I need to see a cardiologist about. I really need to lose over 100 pounds and keep it off for my healths sake especially. I have arthritis on my left shoulder with limited movement and the doctor said he wouldn't even operate unless I reached a goal weight of 155 which I haven't been since 17 years old! I need to do something though and hopefully I will find support here to continue with this journey and not give up! I could use a few buddies, feel free to write!
