I hear that, Kate - I don't have fibromyalgia, but I have rheumatoid arthritis and I know exactly what you mean about 'difficult to get started,' lol... I'm 57, so I don't know if this is what aging is like, or if it's because I'm overweight, or it's those things in combination with the arthritis, but I don't like to exercise. I've been pretty consistent since December, and I still have all the aches and pains each morning as if yesterday was the first time I've done any kind of exercise at all. I'm pretty good with the diet / food control, but the fitness side is my downfall!

I'm not too good at messaging so please be patient with me. I too am over 50 and must shed 105 lbs. So far with help from Jenny Craig and SparkPeople have only lost 7 lbs but I am not giving up. I stay with the diet part rather well but really hate to exercise. I know once I do begin a "daily" routine, I will see rapid change. Just gotta get started. I have osteo and rheumatoid arthritis along with fibromyalgia which will benefit from exercise but also makes it difficult to get started. good luck to us all.....Kate

Hello Donna! Love to see new people coming to SP, and especially to this team. The leaders are great, and the people here are very supportive and encouraging. I generally post in just one discussion board, the 'Small, Slow and Steady (2010 Challenge)' but occasionally I post in a couple others, and I just found (!) 'Fasting Blood Sugar - Daily Report' yesterday, so I will probably be on that from time to time. Also, they have a 'Introduce Yourself Here' and 'Let's Get to Know Each Other,' so you might want to post there as well. Hope to see you around! :-)

Hiya, I'm looking for folks with like interests that are challenged by weight too. I have about 150 pounds to shed and have tried everything-but success-with it!
I'm happy to be among people who have the same goals and struggles. I'd love to connect with some gals who can help and who I can encourage too! I'm just so excited to be at the end of DAY 1! I've done well and look forward to waking up in the morning to begin again!! emoticon
